..ive been lookin at this intake for quite a while..i can get this piece pretty cheep since we get our parts from a performance warehouse..around 300 i think

So what is the common thought on aluminum intake vs the composite/plastic ones. I seem to be hearing from quite a few people here locally who do work on LS1's that the aluminums seem to have greater heat soak and as a result lose a little power. Would these be even better if they were plastic like the stock ones, or is the AL giving some advantage?

the only aluminum one before this one was the weiand which was the worst aftermarket ls1 intake

they say this one is better than the FAST
