I am not a expert, but giving your stall and truck. I think a cam in the 22x-224 is plenty of cam for what you have.. If you can find something with a decent lift(585 to 59x) would be good. Lift is horsepower, as long as it is not more then what the heads are capable of using... The more duration you get the higher in the rpm range it is going to shift your power.. so bigger isn't always better, unless you get some advance ground into it. Again i am not a pro, but from seeing alot of set up I kinda have the idea of what should work..

i run the 222/226 .600" in my 6.0, can barely even tell it's cammed, simple to tune. No need to go any bigger for a DD IMO. The mid 220s cam will give a good all-around powerband without sacrificing too much down low. All in all, it's still not nearly enough power for a heavy truck, maybe a 3000-3500 lb car....
