Default Any reputable N.Cal Dyno Tuners

I'm looking for a reputable dyno tuner w/ experience in the N. CA bay area. My latest Fast Chips tune is not working that well for me. I think my current mods (see sig), and future plans (Looking into D-max or other larger intercooler and upping boost, and specific shifting and torque converter desires) have surpassed mail order capabilities and it sounds like they are always conservative anyway. I don't really want to learn to self tune (no time, or laptop), and the guy I have locally available did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling when I was talking to him about tuning while dynoing my truck a few weeks back. He basically said that it was really hard, would take him an entire day or more and then quoted me $1,400-$1,800. Reeked of little/no experience - NO THANKS -

So anything from about San Jose North and out to Sacramento would be completely do able for me. If there is an exceptional tuner in So. Cal I might even consider that. So who's got the 411?

Thanks

I don't think he can do trucks though.

Nicks a great guy though so if he does then good deal. The other problem is big trucks wont fit on his lift. I know mine wont. That's why I have to go to ATP or Ataylors new shop.

Thanks that's exactly what I was looking for. I am weeks or more away from needing a tune. The one I have works it just needs some tweaking. Currently it's transmission issues, the Torque converter is locking at WOT, and the truck wont downshift from OD above 65 MPH. After I change the intercooler and up the boost a little is when I am going to really need/want the tune.

Vishunu Performance. You must supply your own software and tuning tools. Shiv Pathek is a magazine contributor, technical writer, and guru when it comes to tuning any vehicle.

Oh and you should see him drive on a track. His foot work with shifting is awesome.

i know of plenty of horror stories from vishnu form my friends with WRX's. i would still give nick a call and see what he can do for you...in some instances people who have been tuned locally elsewhere were retuned by him and made major improvements in power and driveability. i think F8L can vouch for him, he posts on F8L's local fbody club's forum a lot.
