Default any results for hypertech on a duramax?

A friend of mine just got an 02' GMC 2500HD with a duramax and a 6 spd. The truck is 4 wheel drive and completely stock with 40,000 miles. He wants to get some more power out of it. So i was wondering if anyone has ran a hypertech programmer on a duramax and got any descent power out of it. Also what are some other good options for upgrading the duramax. He was looking at the baks stinger system which adds about 90hp and 210lb ft. But i believe their prices are usually real steep. Any help would be appreciated. And just out of curiousity what kind of 1/4 times will a truck like his run all stock.
Thanks

hypetech is junk if you want really big power. nothing like www.edgeproducts.com juice box - esp the in cab monitor. it is from 600-900 dollars depending on what you want but we made over 350 rwhp and 730 rwtq totally stock with the programer. also this is really a piggy back PCM, not a flash programer like the hypercrap. we now have the hot edge with attitude monitor. looking for over 800 rwtq through teh allison 5 speed auto.

What about the Six-Gun tuner from Banks. They claim 128hp and 345 lb ft. It costs $625. You can check it out here http://www.bankspower.com/newproducts-12-03.cfm
Seems like it gives pretty good gains. And it is nice that you can change it back to stock with a twist of a ****.

I own a Diesel peformance shop and I ALWAYS talk people out of banks..."Banks will break your bank" I also recommend the Edge Juice. But if you want to go ALL OUT then follow me. Bully Dog has an awesome set up that was shown on TrucksTV. Setup includes either a 120hp box or a 218hp box and propane and NOS with a 600hp TC. So go in order 1) 4"Exhaust 2) Gauges 3) 600hp TC 4) Propane and NOS 5) HAVE FUN!!!!

The reason im saying LP and NOS is because NOS is a Oxygenator and LP is fuel so that right there makes a great combustion to go along with the diesel and its works.
With this setup your looking at some serious numbers and some serious numbers at the track if your in to racing diesels like me.

Let me know if you have any questions

We have used the Edge box and have had great results with it. Best way to go IMO.

Everyone told me the juice was the way to go on my truck so I bought that one. It is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone.

I sell some light duty diesel performance parts. Go with the edge, or if you want cheaper hp go with a superchips tuner. I let people try them for free and once you put one in nobody wants you to take the tune out.
