Default Any thoughts...?

I have an 2002 Sierra ECSB, with the 4.8(obviously). All I know of that it has is true duals, with an H pipe, and two 12" glasspacks, all 2 1/4" pipe. My friend has an 2005 FX4 F150 ECSB with the 5.4 Triton. He has a Magnaflow cat back, and a Griffon(sp?) custom tuned Edge tuner. We like to race each other. Kinda like a pissin contest. Before I had the dreaded "pressure-wash-knock-sensor-failure" problem I now have, I could run against him from a dead stop and he'd only pull me by 1/2 a length off the line, then it stayed pretty even up until 90 or so. From a 30mph roll, I could pull him a 1/4 a length and stay until 90 or so. I dunno if it's had a handheld tuner on it or what, but there's no way my truck should run that close to his is their? Would the weight difference make that much? His performance tests have shown his 1/4 ets at mid to high 14s... not something a stock 4.8 should be able to pull... any ideas?

His performance test were from the programmer right, and they are never accurate. Most Fords are slow as hell, thats why you keep up with him.LOL. Take it to the track and I assure you that Ford will run 15.5-16.5.

I figured it had to be something with his tuner's performance test being off. I guess I had my head up my *** when I wrote this up... Shoulda known better. Anyone ever put SLP Loudmouth mufflers on their truck? I was thinking of getting some to replace my glasspacks.

Oh, and according to Ford the 05 Triton v8 puts 365 torque at 3750. My peak is like... 290 or something(all at the flywheel of course). But I can wax his *** from 30 up... I love my GMC.

From what I've read the SLP Loudmouth's are LOUD, but sound good. I think a few guys have run them in the past...

Fords numbers have been inflated for quite some time, Ive seen some 5.4 F150's dyno at 220-240 at the wheels.

I was thinking some Long tubes, 2 1/2" tubing, SLP Cats and SLP Loud mouths... I've heard some on youtube on WS6 and SS cars... but I'm not surer how much my 4.8 would sound like a 5.7... It just isn't loud enough for me like it is now... (all goes back to that pissin contest with the Ford buddy) cause his Magnaflow cat back is louder than my true dual packs... so, I dunno.
