I emailed them about just buying the headers, but they won't do that. I don't want the y-pipe, so I guess they lost my business.

I'll be getting them this month. I know it's a lot of money but I do have to worry about being emissions compliant, they're starting to get strict out this way.

They would pass the emissions test, but would fail the visual. That is easy to get around though.

I was under the impression that they met C.A.R.B. specs or requirements. Might be wrong, though.

Some laws state that you cannot remove your stock cats unless they are not functioning properly. So unless you got water or coolant in them or they were damaged somehow it would be "illegal" to replace cats on a new vehicle. Unless for some reason the vehicle has enough miles on it and the cats are burnt out.

My understanding is that it's illegal to change the cats until after 50K miles unless the cats are malfunctioning. Dunno if that's enforced on a state-by-state law or if it's a national law.

all I have to say is money talks.
I changed out my cats with 15k miles on my old truck, no questions asked....just took them the new ones and said, "hey, put these on for me while you are doing my exhaust" and that was it.
