the bed isnt that heavy, but its just big and ackward, so Id say take it off with a few friends, but that tilting idea sounds good...but is it worth the risk?

we've done it twice now w/o issues...
I even put a board under the pass/ side of mine on top of the frame to keep from hitting the tailpipe when we tilted it up...
