Anyone done or seen a RCSB D-max conversion?
I'm kicking around ideas for a project truck again. Converting a RCSB 1/2 ton to a diesel popped into my head today, the benefit being using stock drivetrain with an aggressive tune, which should be relatively reliable and fun while knocking down pretty decent fuel mileage. Anyone here done one or know someone who has? I'm curious how a D-max/Allison would do with a really hot tune in a light weight truck, and what kind of mileage comes along with it.

Use a rclb 3/4 or 1 ton to start. Cut down frame, plop on short bed. Way easier than trying to stuff a Dmax/ Allison in a halfton. Plus then you have axles, brakes etc that are suited to the Dmax. Plus clearance in a half ton requires some form of body lift. And body lifts look hideous.
A guy over on duramax diesels dot com named Lennart did a complete write up how to do it. All of it should be the same 2001-2010 HD trucks.

I've seen a bunch of nbs RCSB, but not a nnbs RCSB yet.
I still really want to do a nnbs LMM RCSB 4x4 lowered 3/5 on 20 or 22's.
