I'm getting 21 MPG hwy with just a tune, on crappy winter fuel. ECSB 4x4 HD2500 LB7 with a toolbox full of crap, a heavy Leer old-man canopy, full stereo/sub system, etc.

I think Duraburb only uses a 1 inch body lift at the core support, and tapers it to no body lift at all at the back end. I read about it somewhere a while back. Not 100% positive on the 1" at the front, but they definately do lift only the front, and taper it to the back.

Yeah more weight and rotating parts, that's ok though.

Yep, it sounds like the only reason for the body lift is to fit the d-max cooling stack in there. Supposedly the Allison fits without the lift.

Just use a 34" radiator and 4" intercooler like your old truck. It's not like your going to be towing 20k with it! lol.

That's what I was thinking...I'd love to use a d-max intercooler if possible, but I think the regular gasser radiator would be sufficient. Not sure if the intercooler, d-max radiator, or both require the body lift.

If I planned on swapping over basically the entire interior (at a minimum, all of the donor truck's electronics and wiring), is there any reason why a 06 LBZ truck couldn't essentially be stuffed into a 99-02 shell?

I'm pretty sure you could rig it together with a few minor adjustments.

I think I'm going to start searching for a cheap "host" truck. Once I find that I'll see what I can find in the way of a donor. This should be fun! Muahahaha.

30mpg seams hard , if you drop it and got some relaxed gears , 3.42 or 3.23 maybe you could have a chance of getting in the high 20s
