Re: Anyone ever dyno their 4.8's ??? (Stock or Not)
How do you do against other 03 4.8's. You should be able sloughter other stock auto 4.8's.
The performance seems to be there, but the numbers are way off??? Can anyone give me some insight??
My mods at the time of the baseline run were just a Flomaster 40 series (cut out stock muffler and welded it directly in the same place) with a turndown. And thats it...
I love my truck, but I cant figre out why the numbers are so weak???
Help...

I am sure you have... ....
people on this board are just to stuburn to see that a 4.8 can easily beat a 5.3. they dont want to beleive it so they make it sound like its a pinto trying to beat a fukin viper

Re: Anyone ever dyno their 4.8's ??? (Stock or Not)
Thanks for the help so far guys.
Keep the info commin. What is REALLY odd is that the torque on my truck was in the 280's. Thats quite a bit more torque than ive seeen on the other 4.8 numbers, but still less horsepower....
I'm just trying to figure out what the oddity could be??
...Also can we not turn this into a 4.8 vs. 5.3 debate, those facts are irrelevent here. The only reason I brought up my races against other 4.8's is simply to show that the perofrmance seems to be there even though the numbers are not. Thanks.

With my mods in the signature I put down an honest to God 300rwhp and 331 ft-lb of torque.
Runs were made at PowerZone in Charleston, SC. I even had a slight exhaust leak from the driver side headers (yes they're shorties).
