So it seems like my Horsepower isnt all that far off.....but what about the torque 280+ ft/lbs is way over what you would typically see with 217 horsepower.

I made 251 RWHP with K&N FIPK2 intake, cat-back exhaust, and a Hypertech programmer.
p.s. Run was made in 3rd gear with 31.3 inch Michelin LTX tires.

Hey Demonsilverado I wouldnt worry about your truck. Wait till you get to the drag strip to stress, especially if your truck seems to run well against other vehicles on the street.
It is true that there are freak engines out there that can make considerably more power than most engines BUT I would still be skeptical of anyone with overly high dyno numbers, and that goes for either a 4.8 or 5.3. Now Im not saying these people are necessarily lying but maybe reading inaccurate dynos OR reading their dyno sheets wrong (like reading dyno curve spikes and quoting those hp/tq figures).

hyper, you are a moron...just another person that thinks that the 4.8 is like having a small *****...just cuz you got one you gotta pretend it's just as good as the big ones. line your 4.8 up against my truck any day and see how ya do. as far as the 4.8 vs. 5.3 war....STOCK FOR STOCK with the two trucks being equally optioned, THE 5.3 WILL MURDER THE 4.8
