Cool, I already have the ls6 springs but some guys are telling me they wont last because that cam is to close to the max lift of those springs. Do u have any thoughts about that cam? I cant find a damn thing about it I know Im not gonna be the first to run it, how is it compared to say a comp 212/218 or tr220?

Sounds like a great cam for a 5.3, with the potential for some good low end given the 111 LSA, though it would probably be a better daily driver with a higher stall. That lift makes it a good candidate for PAC 1218 springs, rated for up to .600" lift.

the SDPC cam specs sounds bad ***, but u would be the only person that i know of to use it....
id go with 212/218 high lift: http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...=1089&catid=44
no need for a stall, tried and true 5.3 cam..

A buddy of mine has that cam in his 4.8L SBSC and contrary to the low end Scoggin Dickey claims, it did loose a good amount of low end. His truck was ill-equipped in that it had a peg leg rear with 3.23 gears, which did not help matters. Tuned, the stock 4.8L could spin “the” tire a decent amount, but not after the cam swap and a re-tune. However it would spin forever in the little 4.8L. A set of 4.56 gears w/Eaton Posi later and the little fellow woke up! He still needs a converter, but he has a tough time on a large family budget, maybe income tax time will make things really turnaround. It does sound pretty healthy though and has worked just fine with the LS6 springs. Mater of fact he bought the cam and springs together from Scoggin Dickey and they thought they were a good match.

I imagine the low end would be better, yet sound a little calmer in a 5.3L though.

Thanks man i knew that someone else had to have run this cam before. I was wondering about the lowend. How did the mid and high do? Good gains? To tell the honest to god truth i say i wont stall it but i prob will. I cant leave we enough alone!
