For the 4x4 guys, it's tough to do an equal length system on with the transfer case in the way, but it can be done Bill (trever1t) has an equal length/x-pipe/true dual system on his truck IIRC, there used to be some pics of it on here but they disappeared...it was a real nice system. A lot of guys like to weld the exhaust together completely, but I don't like that, I like to have some sort of mid section that unbolts for ease of transmission removal. (might not be an issue in Joe's case (hirdlej), as he has a 5-speed)

the key to the equal length on a 4wd is to build almost like a trumpet horn for the passenger exhaust to lengthen it to match driver side exhaust

This is how I ran mine. I think it sounds way different than running everything to the passenger side in a dual setup. That always sounded off to me.
