ASP + FIPK + Tune

ASP + FIPK + Tune
Out of curiousity, on the 02 Z71 (33" tires & 3.73's) with stock stall, adding the k&n fipk, asp underdrive and jessie bubb (wait4me) tune, what kind of realistic rwhp gain should be expected along with gas mileage increase/decrease? Opinions? Thanks in advance!

You've got to be kidding me, I was gonna say 15-20 would have made me happy. I see a ton of people bashing asp pulleys saying they're good for "1 horsepower" lol and the k&n is only good for looks and sound. Have also heard there is a lot to be gained vs the factory tune in these rigs. Guess we'll see, more than anything, I need better gas mileage! Thanks for the response. Any other opinions?

well obviously it depends. I've seen individual gains for tunes between 15-30, and usually people gain about 8-12 from the pulley and not so much from the intake.
HOWEVER- I've seen people gain 4 rwhp from a pulley so I guess it depends
You'll definantly see the most from a good custom tune.

Yeah, I picked one up for $170 on ebay with the alternator pulley also and a new belt. The ol Z71 just feels sluggish compared to the TA (no ish), and I wanted to try to wake it up as much as I can without really affecting mileage. I'll give the tune a whirl, and the asp and fipk are already on their way. =) Thanks again!

Dude.. uhh... 15hp from a pully? All your accessories combined wont draw 15hp Unless it's a magic energy producing pully you bought from land full of unicorns and little wizards or a blower pully... no dice.
I wouldn't touch pullies. Factory pullies are sized that way for a reason. Consider the drastic lengths GM went through for every last ounce of fuel economy. Do you really think they wouldn't think of something as simple as pully size?

I would say: 20+ on the tune
5-10 with FIPK
and when I got my tune from Allen Nelson at Nelson Performance we did a dyno before and after on the ASP pulley, only gained 5 HP , also did a before and after on the E-fans only gained 1-2 hp at most
