Lightbulb Attention those with elec fans with Flex VSC and WIRING!!!

Ok heres the scoop...So i had these fans for ohh lets say about 2months. I was driving this morining to work which im here now and when i get here i park and look at my temp... hmmmmmm!!!! A little hot not too bad but hot enough to where my fans should be on, I pop my hood open, start diging around, and what do I find out... the fuse and fuse holder is melted and shot . Anyway i hop in the truck drive like 2 sec up the block to pep boys and got and amp wiring kit (8 guage power supply, 8 gauge ground, and glass fuse holder & fuse) throw it all in an wwwwwwala its done the fans kick on effortlessly and get this at the correct temp setting, without major power draw to get the fans started( i used to hear sort of a loud humming b4 when they started up) and for some odd reason my truck is actaully running cooler. Oh and to test this i drove up the street and floored it a couple times and back again... but the temp rose from 180 to 185 oh and its 86* right now or at least on my trucks thermometer. Hope this helps out anyone with cooling problems after the elec fan install

I'm running the same fuse-holder for my DCC VSC... I've been keeping an eye on it, and it NEVER gets hot or anything. Not even warm.

Does it get warm when the fans are running with the FAL VSC?

On the other hand though, I don't think my fans run very much. Only when I'm idling in traffic or at a light.

Mine did the same thing. It seems like the fans have a mind of their own at times (sometimes they work and sometimes they don't). I need to get under the hood and go over the wiring. They should have used thicker wires for the sending unit. Those few strands can be a pain to work with.

Who's working on that? I'd definitely be interested in going that route.
