Peel It
When I seen the melted holder I got a razor knife and carefully removed the outer soft rubber cover. This should help and I will peel my new one when it gets here. Don't try to cut it all the way to the wire. I (the rubber) will tear easy when you make a slit.
It shouldn't need it in the first place but what ever I can do I will. Mine is suspended where it can get air from the fans.
One more shot is all she gets before I send the VSC kit back for compensation. Then it will be a Delta.

I have ~1' wire between the VSC and the battery where the fuse is. My VSC is mounted to the side of the fuse box.
12awg wire can't hold the current of the LS1 fans, nor can that fuse holder.

Holy cow!!!!! this morning the trans only got up to 125* and the motor from what the stock guage said only got up to about 180*
this was doing 25-70mph go down I-45 toward Galveston, Tx. from houston it's about a 40min trip
think it had to do with the fact that the truck was floating down the freeway
almost had to break out the oars
