Tony,
I'm getting the install done by allen at futral motorsports. His shop is 3min from my house. I have the gears and install kit on the way and I already have the eaton so he is charging me for labor and oil.

I dont really know how the Aubern or Eaton are, but I do know that you can hear a slight click going around corners with my Detriot. Its not annoyingly loud. As far as street and strip performance it locks solid. Ive towed forklifts out of the mud with one tire in the mud and one tire on the sidewalk. Never slipped a bit.

Just weld the spider gears like I did on my Jeep! A half stick of nickel rod and a Lincoln Welder will work wonders for your peg leg. Who cares about streetability??

Eaton is very nice. They are rebuildable too, apparently so is the Auburn by an exchange basis only.
Rebuilds usually under "normal" driving 70-100K I'd say. More power and such could be sooner but the clutches are made of carbon fiber so they grip like no other.
If you need it to grip like a locker Eaton offers 800lbs preload springs. Those are pretty hardcore. It will still won't bind around corners either.
