I just bought it because someone that used my ATAP cable lost it.
I like EFILIVE v5 much better than ATAP. It is a little tougher to use at first but, it's worth the hassle of learning. Using the chart page to view logs is really nice.![Happy](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

No, it is not like LS1Edit. If you get the Pro version it has bi-directional controls that allow you to control things like idle speed, torque converter lockup, etc....temporarily but, it can make no permanent changes to the PCM. Some of those controls may not work on the trucks as EFI was designed mainly around the Fbody/LS1 platform. I know the idle speed controls work but, don't know about the other controls.
I bought the Pro version and it came with ATAP bundled in. I don't know if you can buy EFILive seperately or not. It will come with a cable no matter what though.

The EFILive version for download on their website does work with the trucks, it does with mine (2002 GMC Z71 w/ 5.3) anyways. The didirectional controls work as far as I can tell, the ones that are apllicable anyways. Obviously we can't turn our electric fans on and off on a stock truck. I have noticed you have to turn the control panel on, then start logging before anything will work.
