back to the firestones
got a set of new firestones for $200, not too bad of a deal. figured i would post up my gtechs so far.
with the perillis the best 60' i could get was a 1.76 that was with diferent amounts of nitrous.
with the firejunks brand new i pulled a 1.83 last night with some wheel spin. then i roasted them off a few times and got rid of the **** and was able to pull a 1.75 with some wheel spin. the perilli's were usualy high 1.7x so i am better all ready. now i need to rotate the tires and burn the tit's off the other pair and i think i will be back in the 1.6x's
the perilli's definately looked better and handeled better. they are for sale if anyone is interested.

You are not worried about the speed rating of the tires?
I have seen what happens to a tire spinning past the rating on a dyno, not a pretty sight. The sidewall starts to deform. From the back at first and then it goes slowly around the tires.

They are rated at 112mph.
I have been hurting my brain thinking about going back to stock wheels and tires. I get no traction with my current setup and my 275/45R20s, although I spun the tires at 60 right by a 03 Corba the other day . The speed rating is the only thing I am worried about. Loosing a tire at 120 would not be pretty.
676rwtq would probably kill the stockers to!!!

I moved the thread to the dyno section:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I dynoed 408rwhp@5700 and 436rwtq@4200. I know they look low but, it had 24 degress timing , 4.10s, truck intake, through Flowmasters, and spinning 85lb 20s. The torque curve is FLAT, it makes 430 at 3600 and still makes 400@5800. I need a bigger camshaft, it is a 230/230@112+4.
On a 200 shot with pump gas, it made 580rwhp and 677rwtq. I am very happy with the nitrous numbers. It still has the lean spike but, it is getting better. I will install a fuel cell in the very near future.
The A/F ratio is off alittle from the street tuning I did. On the street it is 12.7 and on the dyno it is 12.3, I guess the dyno can't load the motor like 4500lbs can.
What do ya'll think?

I am still trying to figure out the fuel cell, I think I am going to mount it in a small toll box in the bed. LOL
