bad gas, possible engine damage?

Well, I replaced all the pushrods on the passenger side head and fired it back up...everything seems pretty normal again except for possibly a little bit of smoke at higher rpm that I don't think was there prior. Perhaps it's just unburned fuel etc. in the exhaust that needs more time to burn out.

Thanks to those who gave advice, even though I am surprised that such a large forum had so little help to offer.
