bar/cage questions? other track rules?

i just measured for the bar outside and i dont think you could get within the 6" head to bar rule, looks like there is room inside for the bar though. then you have to go thru the window with the bar, can that glass be cut or would it have to be plastic?

that lightning cage is bad ***, you wouldn't have to have the side bars come up that high though i don't think. seems like the few other trucks i've seen with a cage they weren't that high up and you could get in and out without moving the bars.

the cage in that lightning isn't NHRA or IHRA legal, due to the side bars being swing out style. they will probably pass at a test n' tune type thing, but at any kind of real event with tech they wont. any kind of side bar has to be solid, with no breaks between 1 bar to the other or between welds, so no bolt ins and no pins/hinges. i'm going on Jan. 14th to a local shop that's wanting to get into cages and suspension stuff to measure up the truck to get ready for a cage.
