BBK's "drive by wire" throttlebody is available!
The new 80mm BBK drive by wire throttlebodies are here! They are built from CNC-machined 356-T6 aluminum alloy and offer quick installation. You will see about a 8-10hp gain to the rear wheels and you can install it with no other modifications required.

I've never taken a good look at the late model throttlebodies to notice if they come apart but I have taken 8.1 TBs apart and the 1756 pictured above will fit an 8.1. Everything usually swaps over.

Can't do that. Most parts don't have a performance guarantee.

You will need a special tool to swap the motor over. At least I did on my 02 drive-by-wire TB when I bought the Shaner TB. It's called a security Torx. Like a normal Torx socket but it has a hole in the middle to clear the raised center. I found a set at Sear's.
