Default BBK's "drive by wire" throttlebody is available!



The new 80mm BBK drive by wire throttlebodies are here! They are built from CNC-machined 356-T6 aluminum alloy and offer quick installation. You will see about a 8-10hp gain to the rear wheels and you can install it with no other modifications required.

1756 1999-02 GM 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 (with electronic throttle control) - also fits 8.1 $389.99
1757 2003-05 GM 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 (with electronic throttle control) - now available! $389.99

Everything would transfer to the new TB. You'll be all set from there.

What is the stock TB size? Anybody know, Are they all the same 4.8,5.3 or 6.0.

How would you "transfer" anything from the newer trucks TBs? They aren't serviceable like the vettes. Does this BBK have a motor?

It does not look to have the motor in the pic. And a 03 and 04 from GM are different also.

I've never taken a good look at the late model throttlebodies to notice if they come apart but I have taken 8.1 TBs apart and the 1756 pictured above will fit an 8.1. Everything usually swaps over.

Can't do that. Most parts don't have a performance guarantee.

You will need a special tool to swap the motor over. At least I did on my 02 drive-by-wire TB when I bought the Shaner TB. It's called a security Torx. Like a normal Torx socket but it has a hole in the middle to clear the raised center. I found a set at Sear's.

You won't be changing the 03+ year models out very easily. The unit is fully closed and held together with rivets. Take a look:
