Default Beat a newer Mustang GT! (long)

I was at a redlight and this GT pulls up beside me. He throws a few revs (sounded stock) and rolls back and forth, so I knew he had a standard. When the light turned green, He jumped me about 1 1/2 carlenths. At about 45mph we were dead even until 55mph. We raced until 80mph and I had put a whole carlength on him. We did this two more times at the next two redlights, the same exact results. The next redlight we went through a real bumpy intersection and we punched it at 25-30mph, he jumped me about 1/2 a carlength at first. When my tranny downshifted into 1st when I punched it, I had a whole carlength on him when it shifted into 2nd. Then we had to stop because of traffic at a redlight. A few minutes later we ended-up by ourselves again, this time going about 50-55mph. He punched it a half-second before I did by 85mph I had 1 1/2 carlengths on him.
I was so damn happy at the end of all this. I don't know what year it was, it was the 99-03 style. My friend has a 03' so I'll let ya'll know if that race is any different. But we'll be going to the track.

v6s around here run 15.9-16.4 from what I've heard. I'm not sure what the stock GTs run, I'd like to know! My best run w/o my cam, headers, dynomax bullets was 15.7. I should be close, if not already in the 14s on a cool night. Right now I don't have that much of a traction problem (cam swap = lost some low end). When I went to the track I seen a lightning run 14.2-14.4 all night, GTs with a bunch of bolt-ons running 14.2-14.7, and F-bodies running between 13.3-14.2 all this was on a cold night (45-55*). I was suprised at everybody's times except for ricers who were running 16s,17s,18s, and some even 19s!
