Default Before the LS1 swap, need help keeping 4.8 alive!

I"m going to be doing an LS1 swap in my truck within this month, but since my truck is my DD, I need some help keeping it alive and pinpointing my problem.
Bottom line is it's knocking, and a few of the local guys here told me its one of my lifters.
I thought it was a rocker arm so I pulled them all off and re torqued them to 22ft lbs. In the process I pulled all the pushrods out and cleaned them off. All of the rods had oil coming out from them except one of them. What does that mean..?
And if it's a lifter, all I would need to do is take the intake manifold off correct? Along with the rocker arms of course. Thanks guys.
