Yes, you need a pulley install/ Removal tool made for the power steering pulley. Straight edge across the power steering pulley and see what the gap is between the straight edge and the face of the crank pulley. It doesn't take much for the belt to make noise, I dealt with this when I went 8 rib initially when setting everything up.

Oh ok, I am guessing that is your problem right there. Is the powersteering pulley flush with the end of the powersteering pump shaft? Well actually is the flange that sticks off the front flush with the end of the pump shaft?

The shaft is recessed about 3-4mm.

Looks like it's walking forward, should be flush if I recall.

I would check mine but my 8 rib pullies are different, but I could have swore it was supposed to be flush. Maybe someone will chime in. Would you guess it's about 5mm forward?

It should be flush. It's not pressed on all the way.

I'd realign the ps pump pulley and scuff the smooth sided pulleys with a scotch brite. I've had this same issue. Did this and it went away for good.

you can rent the p/s pulley tool from any auto parts store for free. otherwise they are only $30 or so and easy to use.

after you get the p/s pulley aligned, thoroughly clean all the pulley's with brake cleaner and install a NEW belt. This will solve your noise issue.
