Best converter for street?

I think the Yank TT 2600 will be the best bet for what I am looking for. I drive in stop and go traffic to work, and can't afford to have a 3000 or greater stall.
Has anyone tested the Trailblazer converter? I'd like to use it as long as it doesn't ruin my towing ability.

THis effeciency is at full stator fluid coupling "lock up", not at below stall speeds.

i've got a 3200 yank and its a blast. I would not go over a 3200-3400 in a truck if its going to be a daily driver. I did not get my computer retuned after this and i have not had any problems. the only thing that i don't like about not having my computer tuned is that it will not under any curcumstances shift into overdrive under 55 MPH, but once it shifts into OD the your cruising rpms are the exact same as a stock converter. when i get my new computer tune i will have it shift into od some where around 45-48 mph, becsue at 40mph turning 1100-1300 rpms my truck still has plenty of power to accelerate holding the gear.

The thing is, the higher the stall, the more annoying it will be in bumper to bumper traffic, at least to me. Because the truck doesn't really move until above 2000 RPMs, you have to give a good amount of gas to get it going. Since I'm impatient I just stomp it and it goes, hence the MPG decrease.
Bottom line: Converters kick ***. It's in my top 3 favorite mods along with nitrous and a tune. Get one, you will love it

I have had the Yank TT3000 for about a year now. My mileage did really seem to drop at first, probrobally because my foot was in it all of the time. I averaged my mileage out on the last few tanks and it ranges from as bad as 15.6 to as good as 17.9, and that is a combined highway and city driving. I have an extended cab short bed 2wd. As far as the converter goes, I think these trucks should come with a Yank TT3000 from the factory! It knocked off 4-5 tenths ET wise in the quarter mile, and I hardly know its in there anymore. At first is seemed really loose, and I was nervous that I had made a mistake, but now I think its the single best mod I've done. Drivability is a major concern of mine, as my truck is my daily ride (that's why I still haven't swapped in my motor) and I didn't want it to be impractical in the least, and the Yank TT3000 really hasn't affected drivability at all.

You are just used to it thats all. On the hiway, when locked up it should not be much different but in a pure town mode you will pay a price in MPG with a hi stall converter jsut like you would "slipping" the clutch all the time.
