Default Best Engine Builder?

Im not plotting on anything, fact is I just blew my mod money for the year. I just thought this would make a good discussion.

Which sponsor do you guys think would be the ‘best bang for the buck’ builder of a 408 long block? Im not talking, a full on race motor. Something street able.

I buddy of mine has an APE 370ci and is really happy with their products and customer service. They also build a 408, and from what I see.. they do backup their customers 100%.

I've been looking at either an HPE 408 or an APE 408. The APE is a little more expensive than the HPE one, but I think the Callies crank would be a little better than the Eagle. Now, if it's worth about 600-700 difference in price, I'm not sure about that one.

Talk to Alan at FMS. Do a search for results on his #s. You'll be impressed. His prices are very competitive also.

We can do any crank that you want but have had no issues with the Eagles yet. We have done Lunatis and Callies as well. They do cost more though.

I'm at home so I will get back to you on monday. I think it is about 600-700 more but they may be cheaper now.
