I hate going to dealerships and asking for specific parts for something that I have researched thoroughly only to have the holier than thou counterperson cop an attitude when I insist I know what I am talking about. It's funny when a few of them actually own up to their mistakes.

I thought it would be a neat idea- but yeah, it's a bunch of work. For torque my vote goes to Comp Cams XR259HR 206/212 .515/.522 112. It's like a little L-92 cam; 234/240 .595/.609 112...............

Bringin it back to life with a couple thoughts
trying to make a cam like the LS2 (which we are still trying to get our hands on an early run one)
Looking for something, or a possible custom grind close to these
202/206
204/207
Both with a 585 to a 605 lift, and a 112 LSA.
anyone know of anywhere that can make one like this?
I want low duration, but high lift. (is that even possible???!!)

yes it is... why go for a lopey cam? stick to a 114 or more to get that almost stock sound @ idle...
Im running the XR265HR and it was a nice improvement over stock, although if I could, I would go back and get a cam with more

That being said; the Vinci ultra torque cam would be a great choice. Its a 210/218 .551 with an lsa choice of anywhere from 112 to 116. Bud's 206/212 would be a damn good one too. Acutally I just pretty much restated Bud's post
