Not buying a set would be the best option.

Cause it's a waste of money unless you find a used set for under $100

Have you ever really looked at the stock manifolds? They looks just like shorty headers. Why change em?

I think the BBk's have 1 3/4" primary's , where as all others use 1 5/8" ..But I agree with above...I pass CA smog with lt's and cats if its any consolation.....

yup i have, they look identical, however ive heard of gains of around 10 HP. 10 hp is fine for my daily driver, i originally bought Pacesetter long tubes but do not want to go the route of an illegal dragstrip feel truck for my DD. I apologize for posting this in the wrong section, i am new to performance trucks.

for the record, just because the site is titled performance trucks does not mean every body on here is a master, hot rod, or dragster crew chief mechanic. some of us are up and coming DIY and would appreciate some friendly, knowlegable advice. thanks

have long tubes on my truck just had a y pipe made with my stock cats and i can pass smog. try the search button at the top of the page there are pages and pages of long tube/short tube threads you will hear the same thing every time, long tubes are the way to go. short tubes are not going to gain you much if anything.
