to mike gyver: no way man i wasnt trying to use you to sell the headers, i really appreciate the input. i have the headers for sale on car domain as well if anybody is interested. i think im going to keep my long tubes and look for a 3" catted y-pipe. anybody know of who makes one or a link??

oh and im not worried about the db limits, im planning on getting a qtp silverado screamer which has a cut out type valve in one chamber of the muffler so you flip the switch from stock type muffler to straight pipe.

You'll have to get a y-pipe custom made to mate up to the Pacesetters, as all that is available is an ORY...as for the cut out, go with DMH, the QTP's are unfortunately prone to failure, the bolts loosen up and butterfly shaft breaks.

wow good to know about the qtp cuts outs, however its not a traditional cutout after the headers its built into the muffler it looks pretty freakin sweet but for 650 and possible bolt malfunction im thinking twice now man
