From you sig it looks like your making a ton of power! If you're trying to hook all that power on the street I think your asking alot. If your trying to hook at the track that you need some good slicks. The only way I know of to really hook on the street is 4Wd. Since thats anot an option for you than maybe try some street Et's aor a similar street/strip tire. There are some good suspeniosn set-uo tips on the drivetrain board also.

I would assume first off that a high hp motor and light truck makes your 4.10's work against you. But this could be wrong since I too am a rook. Suffering from blower envy...

I agree, Caltracs and DRs. Maybe you can play with soem adjustable shocks to to aid with weight transfer?

It's the bad part about 2wd. It's hard to dead hook on the street. In my T/A I had to run DRs and drag suspension to even try to get my 4400stall to hook at anything below 50mph. On nitrous it was hopeless.

CalTracs have *helped*, but there's still more to be desired. ANother good suggestion would be to ditch those Goodyears. Make a smoke show, and film it. Then you would have a reason to get rid of them.

That's how I get my car to hook.

As for the street goes, I don't think you will ever consistenly get traction. I know certain areas of town have new asphalt, some have old. You never know, that's why I think traction with a 2wd on the street is a lost cause.

My street tires are completely worthless. The Eaton helped out a ton, but I really don't like trying to race people on them. It does make a nice show for the crowd, though. I do have a little bottle of track bite that really makes my drag radials hook, but it eats the **** out of them too. I made two passes using it, and my ET Streets looked like true slicks. I'd only use it on a high $ race, so you can win enough money to buy some more tires.
