I had the same power setup (radix instead) and for fairness, obviously more weight...ie: extended cab and all extra hardware that comes with the 4WD. Those caltracs make a huge difference in not letting those tires float. I broke my driveshaft in first gear rolling at 10mph I stomped on it (IN 2WD) and KABOOM. I didn't lose a u-joint I lost the shaft. Just a story to say those cal-tracs with the eaton does make a difference...on that day at least.

But for the majority of the time, I agree with everyone else, it's the life of a light ended truck with HORSEPOWER....get some cal-tracs (they R adjustable on the fly as well!) lose the Goodyear's, and get some street ET's for when your looking to street race. The track....hell that's the plus of having a truck man, throw a jack and some slicks in the back.

cal-tracs, good sticky tires, and add 100lbs, to the rear of the truck. Weight is min. but will help with the weight transfer.

today when i took her out, me and my dad got the tires real hot, like 40 foot black marks. she almost held in 1st and 2nd she did well, i def fell when she gets grip cause i get pushed in the seat. there are no slick for 18's rignt....i probly need a stock 16 inch rim?.....or what does every on else do....i want to keep tire size at 295

Are you talking about at the track or just on the road???? If its at the track get some et streets and screw them onto the rim. A set of 28x11.5 and you will not spin them. If we are talking about on the street them stop flooring it all the time. A set of caltracs, nittos and a stall will help. But i dont see why you are having that much trouble on the street. when i had my radix i was making 400rwhp at 3200 rpms and from therer on i was making 410 all the way up to 450. I could drive the truck all day and not spin them when trying to not. And then when i wanted to i could. It also depends on the outside temp. How cold is it out and are the roads wet, cold, salty, ect??????

I hated my nitto's, didn't hook worth a crap for me. I got some ET Streets now, MUCH better traction. Wish I also had a set of ET Radials for the street.

if you want to hook on the street i would go with the nitto 555r's for the 18" rim i loved my nittos on the street they hooked better than my et streets did but at the track e.t streets all the way.
