It'll be in the 5.3 to start off with. I'll move up in cubes, but I wanna put a phat cam in a 5.3. A tuning challenge and to see how it runs being WAY overcammed.
I would magine the cam I'm thinking wouldn't have any problems pulling 7500 or close to it in the 5.3.
Saladbar, yo're close, but not quite that big.

Thats the ultimate plan ... but I wanna see what the 5.3 can do NA.
So ... 223/225 114 the biggest so far running a 13.5 on a tight converter.
Surely that isn't the best one out there.

carcraft used an LPE GT1-1 229/242 .631/.631 on 114.5 i know LPE uses only symmetrical lobes also dont know about advance ground in if your looking for higher rpm screamer Id stay away from advance ground in.
the peak hp was at 6800 and this was with fully done up heads bigger valves etc...
Im looking forward to this finally someone is gonna stepup to the plate and pull the stops out.
So going from the carcraft build and looking for a 7500 peak rpm, I would keep the lift lower at those rpms to avoid valve float. Maybe 240 to 252 duration around .58x lift on a 116 or 118 lsa. Id be really worried about valve float the cam would definately have to be tailored specifically for the application. If you get this cam built I want some pics so I can have a new desktop background.
4000 stall
Is the bottom end stock?

I've got a 228/232 537/544 on a 114 w/ 0 advance ground into it. I put 4* in it when I installed it. It's a comp cam, I think it's a custom grind. I bought it used for $150. Seems to work well w/ the nitrous.

Grey, what did you run on motor? How's the drivability? That's big, but I was actually planning on going bigger still.
02, that's a HUGE split in that cam you're talkin about. I still don't see how such a large split will be to my advantage. I already have a good exhaust, really good.
