Default BigKid, hook me up with something

Kenny, where did you say you got your intake elbow from? What size is it,etc. Did you get the clamps from the same place? I'm going to do something about my current airtube setup. John, you should be happy I'm finally going to do something about my current one.

I'm not sure what BigKid did with his intake, but hee is what I was using:

The elbow is a 90* mandrel bent exhaust pipe that I cut to the right length than painted gloss black. Used a 45* PCV part from Lowes and a K&N filter on the end of the MAF.

man that looks nice for a custom setup, good idea

did you have any problem fitting the maf in the pipe
how did you clamp it down I wouldnt think you could put enough pressure on a hose clamp, you must of heated the metal a little to make it more maleable whats that called where you run a flame over the metal to align the atoms? I saw it on a bike builder show with guys working metal.

That's a really clean looking setup Richard!!! What size exhaust pipe and pcv pipe is that?

Its a 4" metal exhaust pipe. I bought it from an exhaust shop. Its the exact same size diameter as the outside of the TB, so they butt up against each other. I uses a 3.5" or 4" rubber fernco type connection from lowes or home depot to connect the TB and pipe. The PCV is 4". It wasn't hard to make, but I did have to buy several parts from home depot to test and try. Ended up with a bucket of misc parts after it was over.

Where did you get the mandrel bent 90 ? Was it somewhere local because I have had no luck finding one local.

Yes it was local. You know where your buddy Matt got his exhaust done in Irving, the wheel shop. I was in there once and saw the pipe and thought...hmmmm that might make a very good intake pipe.

Not using it with the Radix currently. I may use parts of it to improve on the Radix stock intake.

Damn page isn't working if you click on shop airflow online and then go to rubber hoses and then 90 degree elbows they have one that goes from 4" to 3.5". This is what I was thinking about for mine.
