I saw in a recent article that had a 5.3, they put in a Ligenfelter gt-2 cam (the smaller one of the bunch) at the same time they lightly moded the heads and installed the side mounted magnacharger supercharger, they got the truck to run high 12's. I know its a 5.3 but the combo seemed to be potent.

I would go with a 206/212 high lift cam with a 114-115 LSA. That would give killer mid-range torque with a blower.

For a 4.8 I would go with a 212/218 low lift, the reason I would stick with low lift is for durability reasons. The high lift will eat springs more than the low lift one would. You basically want a nice split cam in there with nothing lower than a 114 lsa.

Yes, that will be fine for a na motor.

I would go with the low lift version, it's on the XE lobe. I'm not sure on the exact numbers, but most of the sponsers carry it and will know what you're talking aboutl.
