Lance, have you thought about going with a little larger cam? Your TC is good for a larger one and that intake certainly will work.

I'm guessing your E.T. wasn't all that great??? Did you shortbelt it? Were you at your race weight? What do you plan on doing for your trans issues?

Well he did add alot of mods to go with the intake, 3600 stall converter, asp underdrive pulley, larger injectors

Not taking anything away from lance(bluecajun5.3) But the thats alot of mods to go with the intake(ls6) I'm sure the intake helps with the larger motors, just not sure about the 5.3.

Nice 60' and mph though.

i'll probably be staying with my 220. my best e/t was 12.60 with the tranny slipping and struggling to shift. my race weight was the same except for full exaust all the way to the back now. tranny, i don't know yet. need to take a look at it more or maybe even check my fluid.

well then there's plenty of hope for ya, depending on the seriousness off your problems that could easily be 2/10ths.

considering my previous converter had the same shift extension as this one, i won't be accouting for that.
the u/d pulley really won't help b/c before i was running shortbelt turning only the w/p. it probably helps on the street though.
the injectors were to keep my IDC happy and worked out for a much cleaner setup.

that's just the way i see it.

I doubt the injectors helped much. Don't think he gained **** from the pulley. The converter possibly did help, but at the same time, his old converter drove around and had shift extensions like a 3500 TCI.... hard to say

If the 60' decreases, then you have gained something. The size of the motor really does not matter at this point. 02Reaper was still using the 5.3L when his 60' decreased and MPH increased. I have A-B comparisons of his on my other computer.

hey lance how is it that the shift extentions are the same, you went from a 3000 to a 3600 right that should put you higher in the rpms after shift, the u/d pulley will help you, your old belt was what 65" and now 55" right? The injectors will help you make some hp it did on mine went from 103 mph to 105 mph, your 60' times are from the bigger stall converter, yes you have added weight with the full exhaust and caltrac traction bars, like I've told you before I do hope it works out, but too bad you can't swap intakes quick and run the truck intake the same day to see what the diff. is.

Good luck on the progress, its a pain in the *** to do all the work and not come out faster in the end. Been there done that lol.

Thanks.

thanks, thats a good thing
Id like to see all the kinks worked out and you get low 12s

reguardless
I think additional runs are necessary before we make any assumptions "good or bad" with this particular setup
