bolts-n-stuff
Alright, I am doing a motor build from the bottom up. It isnt the lowest budget project but not the highest either. I plan on start up in about 18 months for the entire thing, motor, tranny, and suspension. I am tackling the motor at the moment and I am wondering if someone can tell me all the bolts I need. I am pretty sure I am just going to replace most of them with hardened or stock if they arent so important because the bolts that came out of it, some are missing and some are nasty looking. So far this is my list.
ARP head stud kit with side studs
ARP rod bolts (cam with the rods)
ARP header studs
ARP cam bolts
I know I need oil pan bolts, (all the bolts that hold on accessories seem fine), I need intake bolts, front and rear main covers seem fine, I need flexplate and torque converter bolts, I'm sure there are plenty that I am missing but could someone give me a basic bolt list of everything that needs to be on the engine and a place to buy them (SDPC I'm sure).
Thanks in advance

i know but I am so tired of hassling with exhaust bolts and worrying about resting the LT's on there without ******* up the threads in the head. Only doing this build once so i'd like it to be as painless and sweet as possible.

Then you will hate the header studs. You will have to have them all lined up JUST right for them to slide on. You won't be able to start the back one, then the front one and use those to help guid the rest on.

hmm....that's true. I guess i should just save my hundred dollars and borrow someone to help me put the LT's on when the time comes. Thanks for the advice. Anyone other bolts I should check into? hardened or not?
