ok, so average 107.5 hp taking your 90 and the 'acclaimed' 125 I've read about in other threads.
still is probably more power, takes less overall time, less hassle (usually), and better driveability than trying to go all out with all the little bolt ons and a cam, heads etc...
not to mension if he wanted to he could pay the extra dough and get the warranty and blow up as many 4l60e's as he pleased

Agree with your points about ease of install, driveability, etc, but I'd read Magnuson's warranty really well before even paying for it, much less thinking about cashing in on it.

Thanks again for all of the replies, I've decided to go ahead and do some tranny work first (Yank TT 3000, B&M transmission cooler, Transgo shift kit, vette servos), after I get the parts ordered today I'm getting a Nelson tune, might pick up some AZSM headers before the tune but I haven't decided on those yet. One thing I'm curious about is will the transmission mods I listed be enough to remove all TM safely?? I'd really like to do enough to remove all TM and I need to know what all is necessary before I start ordering stuff.

As for strengthening your trans. No you didn't. You make it work better for racing applications yes but the parts that are going to break due to removal of Tm or from high HP are still going to break. Stay in the lower HP range and you should have no problems for a long time though
