Default Borla or Gibson cat back

Looking to get one of these systems in stainless. What would be the difference in sound and power. Its going on a 1997 GMC Suburban with 35s so I would like some more torque. I already have the k&n system and put on gibsons stainless shorties but didn't feel a difference.

shroty's wont do muuch for the truck. I would recommend either a magnaflow cat back or a corsa catback over either of thsoe sytems. I really don't like either one of them.

The only shorties I have ever heard of helping with anything more than 5rwhp are the JBA's. As for the catback....Well, let's just say IMO Gibson = garbage. Why...shorties rust, mufflers pop welds on the inside etc...

i don't like my gibson, it's too quiet, and it didn't fit well i had to hack/weld it in place....... buy something else.

Magnaflow. That is a good system that is not terribly expensive at all.

i have a 01 tahoe 5.3L

all i put was a k&n cold air intake and the BORLA dual catback exhaust.

i love it, i definatly feel more power, the sound gets louder after driving it for a while when u first install it. its still not real throaty like a mustang though.

I like the Borla. The muffler the cat-back setup came with was way too dam quiet. Had to switch it out with a different Borla muff. Im happy now!!

i love my borla. it performs great. also i love the way it looks. great quality. nice mellow tone. not much cab noise. very pleasant on ears. sounds good on launches.

my only gripe is that i wish it sounded louder.

if you want to notice a more SOTP difference after modding, try getting a custom tune. it is a great mod after doing CAI and exhaust mods
