Default Bought a 00 5.3 ECSB

Just bought a 2000 Silverado. Probably just be doing intake/exhaust for now on it. Looks like you guys are big on the Magnaflow mufflers. Will probably be going that route. Not sure If I will do a true duel or not, wife has put me on a budget. How much more gain will you see with true duels over single/duel exit?

As far as intake....I see different ones making there own intakes. All that I have seen are using the Efans though. Anyone have any tips on making one with stock fans.

Welcome to the sight! I have the same truck with a Magnaflow cat back ($325 or so) and I love it. Its a great system all the way around, and not too loud. As for intakes...I have the AEM Brute Force which cost me a little over $235. I'm really not sure what kind of gains I got from just these two mods, but they were a good start. I also run the HPPIII from Hypertech, and with these 3 mods I ran a best of 14.98. Good luck on your truck.

I have a RCSB 5.3 and am considering the Magnaflow catback, however, I have yet to find it for less than $450 or so, please tell me your source.

As for the true duals question, I highly doubt that much would be gained by doing this while leaving the stock headers/cats in place. I have told myself that a catback, CAI and Nelsons tuning are the only mods I will be doing, as I bought this truck to have something more tame to replace my camaro.

For just the basic mods like intake exhaust and the free stuff what would you guys reccommend for PCM, Nelson tune or the HP tuners? Have messed with the HP tuner on my Grand Prix before but have never heard of Nelson......

Another question, anyway to find out what gears I have in my truck?

I bought mine locally from a place called Chesapeake Rim and Wheell (CRW) for $314 + tax about a year ago or so. I do know that Tbyrne sells them for like $359, and you can usually catch him with some kind of special....he always offers an online order special of x% off, and I think he just recently had a double x% offer going....contact them for sure. Here is where I got mine:

My brother-in-law got it for me thru his shop, so it might be a few dollars more for the average consumer...I think they quoted me like $340...or so.
You would probrobally do better with TBYRNE and one of their specials...they run them all the time.

Actually, if you act super fast, and order tonight, you can save $30 on the $359 system...making it $339 plus shipping. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211870

Yeah Tbyrne has them the cheapest that I have found. Even cheaper than Jegs.
