Which brand gears to get? TA Girdle?

Gears are something I wouldn't skimp on. That's another place you get what you pay for. I have Precision's in mine. I have heard that they are near unbreakable.
FYI .. AAM or American Axle and Manufacturing are the same thing as OEM gears, they are just a bit cheaper. AAM is who supplies GM.

As far as the TA girdle. Should I just have the shop install the gears and girdle?
Or should I just do the girdle myself to save some cash? Whats involved in installing the stud kit?
