Default Building a Drag/Street Truck..NEED INFO...

Hi Guys was inspired yesturday talking with my aunt from florida about building a drag/street truck. We figured we have a decent building block. She has a 1994 short bed 5 speed Isuzu truck in great shape. Our idea was to pull the motor and tranny and rear axle and modify it with bigger and better parts. She is retiring in 2 years and we want to get a head start on things...

Does anyone know how big of a motor we could fit in the Isuzu and a good tranny combo? Plus rear end axle??? Any help is much appreciated on any topic of this build.

Thanks guys for all the insight and help we appreciate it again !!!
