Default Building an lq9, need cam advice

Hate to start another "what cam thread" but here we go. I'm building an lq9 for my 01 single cab sierra. Currently it has the 4.8 with a t56 6 speed behind it with 4.56 gears.

My engine started out as a 05 lq4 with 150k miles on it. Tore it down and bought lq9 flat tops/ tbss intake/ 92mm tb/ and 799 heads. I already bought some valve springs good to .750 lift, yes .750. This truck is my dd but its definitely going to see track time and it will be at ls Fest in bowling green in September. I've been researching and I'm leaning towards the 233/239 cam from tsp. 233/239 .598 .603 on a 112 full specs in case you didn't know. It seems like that's a pretty good cam without it being too big. I'm open to all advice on cams I'm not dead set on one yet. I'm shooting for ~425 rwhp. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I would check into getting a custom one spec'd for your application. It doesn't really cost any more than a cam off the shelf and it will be better suited for your particular tastes and use of the truck. That being said it seems like that cam would work for your combo but remember, you can go a little bigger, depending on compression and valve events, than most because you dont have to worry about a stall converter. I wouldn't be afraid to get into the 240's with the standard.

I think you'll be OK with the right stall. 4000 area. Your going to get a lot of different opinions on this. Call TSP and ask for Trevor, good guy and knows his stuff.

Alright man looks like I'll be giving pat g a call tomorrow. Thanks! Compression ratio seems to be at 11:1 with the flat tops and 799 heads.
