for a big nitrous motor set up i would do a 2 stage. something like a 75-150 wet shot and a 200 DP shot. with pistons and rods, good fuel and tune i see a 300shot holding just fine especialy if you stage it.
i would also go with a seperate dedicated fuel system running race fuel just for the nitrous. with that much nitrous twin 10lb bottles or even 15lb bottles would be nice or you will be filling up every couple of runs. -6 nitrous line.
i just noticed you didn't ask for advice on a set up. just how much. 300+ if done right but dont waste you money on a crank.

I was thinking on the lines of 250 and 300 if possible. has anyone else done a direct port kit? i'm just wondering what the installation is goin to be like so i can prepare for some tedious work. out of curiosity, i have a ZEX system now with the single wet nozzle and the controller with the solenoids built in, how much is a setup like this capable of sraying?

i am buying the motor from a salvage place through a truck dealership i buy alot of parts through so they are giving me a good price. they quoted me $850 for a 6.0 with 80000 miles. the price is for the motor, the harness, and the computer, basically a full drop in. is it worth spending that much or should i just try and find the block, crank and maybe the heads seperately for less since i'm gonna change the internals anyway?

i am thinking of boring the motor like .030 over. will i need to get different heads to accomidate the larger bore or will the stockers be ok. if not, is it worth spending the money on new heads, and what heads can i use?
