Default Which built trany?

Hey guys.. i think my tranny is starting to slip Id like to see my options as far as getting a better tranny. Do the built trannies you guys get come with a shift kit already installed? and what is about the best deal i can get? Or is it cost effective to have my rebuilt? just wondering my options. I tow a trailer to work and plan to have around 500 hp by the time i complete my intercooler setup. Thanks guys, Drew

FLP all they way. chuck will take care of you.

i called a couple of local shops and their prices were $1500plus, this included a few high performance parts but they had no expertise in building performance 4l60e's. got a fully loaded level 4 with shift kit, billet survo, 5 pinion planataries and a truely unconditional(other then overheating) warenty, he wanted me to try and blow it up and i did . they were having a sale at the time for $2000. normal price for thier loaded up unit is $2400.

bigguy .. if you decide to get one built, don't come to Marshall to get it done. I had mine done at East TX tranny's there at the loop and 59. 1st one grenaded itself cause he thought it was kewl to bark the tires on the 1-2 shift at 1/4 throttle. 2nd one started slipping, he said nothin was wrong with it. I traded it off later to find out the dealership ended up replacing the whole damn thing cause they couldn't figure out what the deal was.

I plan on going with FLP when I get the funds. I'm waiting on that, then I wanna line em up and smoke ya!

You are supposed to drill the seperator plate between the valve body and trans case...why do you ask?

Is somethin broken now?

yay no third gear. i asked him to take out the shift kit and put it back stock. he said i would have to buy a new valve body assembly and a new seperater plate.300.00 dollars. from what 9i have heard you dont have to modify the valve body just the seperater plates.
