A little banged up, but its going to the body shop next week and the denali projectors and some HIDs are going in it too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

ok so how do you do this with out auto tap? i thought you could use a meter and tap one of the wires with the meter to get the reading.

You can.

1. Just tap the blue wire on the throttle position wire harness (will be the lower plug on the right side of the TB) for the red lead on the voltmeter.

2. Ground the black lead on the voltmeter to something metal.

3. When testing for voltage just turn the ignition key to the on position and flip the throttlebody open all the way against the bumpstop to get your reading. Should read no more than 4.60 volts to be safe.

4. Start gringing the tab as needed while frequently stopping to check progress.


Mine started out at 4.2.

thanks for the info i realy apreciate it. i have known how to do this for a while but did not know which wire to tap and it was not that big of a priority for me to start a new thread.

well i got the bump stop grind set at 4.50 before my bat ran out on the cordless. for now it will stay there. plan to go a little more this afternoon. what are the voltages that any of you have set without and with a code <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

im at 4.66 and have no problems so far

took me a while cause I guess fully closed its supposed to be bout .60 so I had to adjust
