Burn Out

Burn Out
I have a 2001 Tahoe. With a 5.3L, 3.73 gears, K&N Intake, Stock MAP with screen remove, Magnaflow exaughst and Superchips programmer. I currently have proxy 305/60/18's on it. It has a traction ON and OFF button and will not spin the tires either way. What does it take to do a burn out. Help

First off why do you want to do a burnout in that. And to do one in that turn the traction button off and press the brake gentley then give some gas at the same time keep giving it gas until it starts to spin the wheel but it still may not do it because it is such a big vehicle.

more than likely it won't do it because it is so heavy.plus you have 18 inch wheels.my friend has one and so far the only way it's been done is get a few peeps to pick up the back some.try it wit the stockers.the brake system may have something to do wit it

I know what you mean. It's the weight. The converter stalls at too low of an RPM to let the engine make enough torque to overcome the traction and the brakes. The full-size SUV's are heavy in the back. Be careful with that 10-bolt, under the weight of an SUV they do not stand up to abuse. Of course you could always get it painted. Green Tahoes can smoke the tires any time you like.
