Default burnt rubber smell??

i have a 01 chevy suburban with a magnuson side mount supercharger kit. and i have been noticing some problems since the install, which was a few months ago. one is that when i rev it over 4k i hear a clicking noise, i dont think it is knock though because i get no power lose, and i have a scanmaster that would let me know. and the other problem is that if im really getting into her and go over 5k or so afterwards i smell a burnt rubber smell.
does anyone have any ideas. i dont think its belts slipping but it might be.

Maybe the burnt rubber smell is coming from something touching or pressing against the exhaust manifold (fender-liner or something). Just guessing.
