Buying a 2600lb truck w/ 00 5.3 conversion!!
Thats right, 2600lb truck! Stock form that is, probably a littler heavier with the 5.3/auto trans.
The details:
94 toyota std cab pick up (4 cyl stock)
00 silverado 5.3 and 4l60e engine swap!
Has a z06 intake manifold, shorty headers, 2 & 1/2 true duals with spintech mufflers, no cats, modified intake, Lokar shifter, and MSD wires. No a/c or PS, so some extra HP for free!
Guy says it will smoke the tires till about 60!
Im pumped about this new toy. 23MPG in city and 27 highway is what he claims. Im picking it up this weekend from AR.
What you guys think she'l turn in the 1/4? Guy claimed he and his buddy with a stop watch got it in the close neighborhood of 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Not so sure of how good of an estimate that is, but im sure she rips! hahaha. Either way, this thing is going to kickass!

Yep, all 6.0L blocks are iron. The new LS2 4" bore blocks are aluminum but, I'm not sure exactly what has to be done to get them to work. They have a few sensor locations changed. Here is a thread with more info if you want to look into that.

Most stock 5.3's seem to put down 240-260rwhp. Not sure about torque, 260+ I believe.

according to GLD's 1/4 mile calculator 250hp in 2950 lbs w/ driver is good for a 13.2 I would imagine with a 1.7 60ft. Becuase i threw in some numbers from my freinds car and the numbers were off. My friend was pulling high 1.9 60's and their estimate was faster than what it actually ran. So i calculated what it should be with a 1.7 60ft and then the numbers matched.
so the truck is probably a mid 13s becuase it sure as hell wont pull a 1.7 60ft. Can you say 5.7 ls1 and 100 shot over the winter??
