Huh, I kinda thought using zip ties to install stretch belts was fairly common. There's youtube vids about it, but it's essentially the ghetto version of using the installer tool. If your crank pulley isn't solid, you just loop a thick zip tie through the pulley to hold the belt to it so it can't slip, then rotate the pulley with a breaker bar to finish easing the belt on. Since the stretch fit belts are for newer applications than my '06, I guess that's why the official tool didn't fit the pulley, dunno. Here's what I used; looked up for a '10 3500HD 6.0 figuring it would be correct for my '06 6.0 and it fits fine; Gates K040355SF

Brain fart. Never mind me man. I was picturing the last slip fit I did that had no holes in the pulley.

Not an LS crank pulley with all the holes in it.

I have one of those install tools and it never seems to work. Not the one you have though, it's a different style

For anyone that doesn't know what we're talking about, here's an example, but the dude should have had the slack on the back side of the pulley so it didn't have to stretch out and around the front of the pulley.

There's also the hose clamp way
